Mikolow Music Finale

The “Unicorn” ensemble from Vienna will perform on Thursday, June 5 in the Mikołow Evangelical Church…

The XVIII Mikołow Music Days will conclude at St. Adalbert Church (Kościół św. Wojciecha) on Saturday, June 7 with a performance by an orchestra from Lviv….

INSO-Lviv (International New Symphony Orchestra) was founded by the Swiss conductor G.Mattes. It’s main mandate is to perform beyond Ukraine’s borders….

The concerts in Mikołow will be conducted by Myroslaw Skoryk and Myron Jusypowicz…

M.Skoryk’s very popular, melodic, film-type “Melodia” was recently performed in Mikołow by the chamber orchestra “Lviv Virtuosos”. This time, the composer will conduct his Partite No.6 for Strings.

Additionally, the INSO-Lviv Orchestra will perform the Violin Concerto in E Minor by F.Mendelssohn Bartholdy and Symphony No.3 in F Major, op.90 by J.Brahms. The orchestra will be led by Myron Jusypowicz, who, until 2002, was the Artistic Director of the Lviv Opera House.

First the Viennese, then the musicians from the former capital of Galicia. And thus, Austro-Hungary reigns at this year’s festival. Gazeta Mikołowska
